Ambassador Melono Receives Cameroonian and Ajax Player Eyong Enoh After World Cup Qualification

The Cameroonian Midfielder was granted audience by the Head of Mission, H.E Mrs. Odette Melono just days after she had sent words of congratulations to both Netherlands based Cameroonian Internationals; Eyong Enoh and Atouba Charles for their contribution to the National team and Cameroonian Football. Both players are teammates at AJAX Amsterdam Football Club in the Netherlands.

During his visit, Eyong Enoh had the opportunity to introduce his wife and two kids who accompanied him, to the Head of Mission. They spent time talking about the World Cup and African Nations Cup campaign, especially the final and most crucial leg in which Cameroon successfully beat Morrocco 2:0 in Fes, to consolidate Cameroon’s standing as leaders in her group.

Eyong also shared his experience of life in Amsterdam. The visit was described as “very interesting and spiced with jokes”.

It should be noted that H.E Mrs. Odette Melono, apart from her role as the Cameroonian Ambassador to the Netherlands, is a great lover of football and an avid supporter of the Indomitable lions of Cameroon.  The timing of Eyong Enoh’s visit therefore was one of the best when player and an avid fan like the ambassador shared experiences, ideas and feelings about Cameroonian Football.

Also on hand to welcome the young Lion was the Second Secretary at the Cameroonian Embassy, Mr. Jean Patrice Koe Jr.
