Cameroon Participates in International Holiday Exhibition in Utrecht

The Delegates from the Tourism Information Bureau for Europe with the french acronym; BIT was headed by its chief. Mr. Charles Ngouane.The group popularly known in french as ‘le Bureau d’Information Touristique (BIT) pour l’Europe’ mounted a Cameroon stand from where they shared information, answered questions and educated interested persons about the great Touristic potentials of Cameroon. They as well exhibited items of rich cultural value as well as unique Cameroonian works of arts. On the Cameroonian stand, were literature (leaflets and flyers) on Cameroon geography, culture, society, business potentials and specifically travel and tourism.

The ‘Vakantiebeurs’ brought together travel-loving consumers and about 20,000 trade visitors.

The Holiday Fair (exhibition) is the largest consumer travel exhibition in the world and the largest Trade Fair in the Benelux. It was therefore, a perfect opportunity for the Cameroon MinistryCameroon Stand at the Fair of Tourism representatives to meet potential customers and tourists to cameroon and to sell the great touristic attractions that the country possesses.

For the Tourism Ministry representatives and the Cameroonian Embassy in the Netherlands, the exhibition created the desired opportunity for personal contact between other exhibitors and potential visitors to Cameroon. As a result, the Cameroonians involved were glad to present firsthand information on Cameroon travel and tourism to interested parties.

The next Holiday Fair (Vakantiebeurs) is expected to take place from January 11th to 16th 2011.
