Cameroonian born Journalist and writer launches new book

The Book launch took place at the Kariboe Bibi Centre in the Hague in an atmosphere of excitement and light hearted comedy following several poetry recitations and a question and answer session.

On hand to represent the Cameroonian Ambassador Mrs. Odette Melono, was the Embassy Second secretary, Mr. Jean Patrice Koe Jr.  The role played by the Cameroonian Embassy was paramount to the success of the night. It should be noted that the Cameroonian Embassy was one of the sponsors of Mr. Larry Bate Takang’s Book Launch alongside other sponsors like the Kariboe Bibi Centre and The Africa Press International (API).

The Book Launch which also doubled as a poetry evening during which several poems from the author’s book were dramatized was attended by representatives from the South African Embassy, and the Embassy of Algeria.

It should be noted that Larry Bate Takang, is the first ever Cameroonian resident in the Netherlands whose books feature in both the data base of Dutch National Library in the Hague and his latest book now sold in the largest bookshop in the Netherlands; the selezxy-Donner Bookshop in Rotterdam.

The Book Launch was crowned with a book signing ceremony during which sevral books were autographed by the author. The event ended with light refreshments.
