Cameroonian Government Grants OPCW Director-General Very Warm Reception

The Government of Cameroon was out in full force to give the Director-General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Ambassador Ahmet Üzümcü a very warm reception. Ambassador Üzümcü was in Cameroon during an OPCW cooperation with the Cameroonian Government to host the just ended ‘Stakeholders Forum for States Parties in Africa on Adoption of National Implementation Legislation’ in the capital Yaoundé.

During his visit, he was received at the Airport by the Secretary General at the Cameroon Ministry of External Relations (MINREX), the Cameroonian Ambassador to the Netherlands, H.E Mrs. Odette Melono and the Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon.

He later met with Cameroon’s Prime Minister Philemon Yang; then took part in a working lunch at the Hilton Hotel with government officials namely like the Minister of External Relations, among others in the company of the Cameroonian Ambassador to the Netherlands, H.E Mrs. Odette Melono.

He was also granted an audience at the Presidency of Cameroon.

The Director-General was also invited to speak at the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC) by the Institutes Director, Mr. Director Salomon Eheth.
