Cameroonians in the Netherlands Congratulate the Indomitable Lions for Angola and South Africa Qualifications

On behalf of all Cameroonians in the Netherlands, Ambassador Odette Melono praised every single player as well as the technical and administrative officials for a great job done to qualify for South Africa 2010. She stressed the fact that it is due to the great skills of Cameroonian footballers that all Cameroonians in the Netherlands are proud that Cameroon will both be present in Angola for the African Nations Cup and in South Africa for the FIFA World Cup competitions in 2010 .

H.E Mrs. Melono also particularly recognized the achievement of Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto’o Fils for his enormous contribution as the highest goal scorer for the squad during the world cup campaign. Eto’o’s contribution, she adds…”is immeasurable and truely patriotic”. She was also pleased with the leadership of Captain Rigobert Song whom she describes as the “rock” of the team.

As the Cameroonian Ambassador to the Netherlands, H.E Mrs. Melono particularly thanks both Eyong Enoh and Atouba Charles of Ajax Amsterdam in the Netherlands for both their present and past contributions to the National team. She describs both players as true patriots, whose contribution to Cameroon make every Cameroonian in the Netherlands proud. “As the cameroonian Embassy, we are happy to back them at all times in a bid to contribute to our proud football loving Nation” she adds.

The head of mission also congratulated the other African teams that have already qualified namely: Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, South Africa and Algeria.
