Cameroon Embassy

The Gala Night to commemorate Cameroon National Day and the 50th anniversary of independence in the Netherlands has been hailed as a great success. The event which took place at the Grote Kerk in the Hague saw more than double the estimated number of people expected.

Close to 900 Cameroonians and non-Cameroons filled the hall making the 29th of May event one of the most attended National Day events in the BENELUX. Still there was enough for everyone and the delight was there to see.

The must important satisfaction on the part of the Cameroonian Embassy was the interest shown by the Cameroonian Community to jointly celebrate their National Day and the 50th anniversary of independence. Another important factor to note was the peace that reign since the event ended with absolutely no negative incident. The Ambassador, H.E Mrs. Odette Melono has expresed her deep appreciattion to all who came. She also invited all members of the organization committee to thank them personally.
