The Head of State His Excellency President Paul Biya has addressed Cameroonians in his
traditional New Year Message to the Republic. His message which was delivered on Cameroon’s
National Media on the 31st of December 2011 called on Cameroonians to join efforts so as to
transform the numerous potentials in Cameroon in order to improve living conditions.

In his speech, the president acknowledged that “in the past, government action suffered from a
lack of entrepreneurial approach and the administration from inactivity”. These setbacks, His
Excellency Paul Biya assured Cameroonians, are harms that must be overcome.
