Invitation to Debate on “International development and twinning cities” by Dordrecht-Bamenda Association

The evening will be in the Dutch language but the Dordrecht-Bamenda Association has promised to arrange for English translators if any requests are made.

Main speakers of the evening will include two specialists: Mr. Aad van den Heuvel (Journalist and writer; responsible for many television programs about developing countries) and Professor Paul van Lindert of the University of Utrecht.

It should be emphasised that the cities or  municipalities of Dordrecht (The Netherlands) and Bamenda (Cameroon) have been sister cities for 16 years, though the relationship between the cities goes back to 1933. The Dordrecht-Bamenda Foundation was established in 1996 with the objective of getting the citizens of Dordrecht more involved in the sister city relationship or “twinning.”
