Pres. Biya Appoints Officials in Ministry of External Relations Services

The President of the Republic, H.E. Paul BIYA, on November 7, 2017, signed several decrees and orders appointing officials in the central and external services of the Ministry of External Relations. The Decrees specifically appoints new officials in almost all Embassies, Consulates and High Commissions of the Republic of Cameroon.  New ambassadors and high commissioners have been appointed to Cameroon’s diplomatic missions in Belgium, Russia, Nigeria, the United States, Canada, Germany and a host of other countries, as well as on the African continent.

The following decrees were signed:

Decree N ° 2017/540 of 07 November 2017 appointing officials in the central services of the Ministry of External Relations.

Decree N ° 2017/542 of 07 November 20107 appointing officials in the central services of the Ministry of External Relations.

Decree N ° 2017/543 of 07 November 2017 appointing officials in the central services of the Ministry of External Relations.

Decree N ° 2017/544 of 07 November 2017 appointing officials in the external services of the Ministry of External Relations.

Order N ° 0716 of 07 November 2017 appointing officials in the central services of the Ministry of External Relations.

Order N ° 0717 of 07 November 2017 appointing officials in the central services of the Ministry of External Relations.

The above decrees follow another recent decree in which the Head of State on October 24, 2017, appointed new communication officers to Cameroon’s Embassies in Belgium, Great Britain, France, the United States and Saudi Arabia.

According to the decree, President Biya also recalled Nkong Wilfried Makoge, chief of communications at the High Commission in Britain. He was replaced by Loh Guillaume Kimbi, previously in service at the Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV.

In France, former TV news anchor Zakiatou Boubakary was appointed communication assistant replacing Sylvestre Onana, who was promoted to head of the Embassy’s communications.

The decree also appointed Yem Henry Kiseh, as head of communication at the Embassy of Cameroon in Brussels (Belgium). Henry Kiseh was formerly Boyo Communications Delegate.

In the same light, Jacquie Ngam Balon, who was Communication delegate for Fako, was appointed Communications Officer at the Cameroon Embassy in Washington, DC, USA.
