The Embassy organised a culinary workshop & Cameroon Food Tasting on Sat 16 May 2026. The immersive cooking workshop, held at the Cameroon Embassy in The Hague was supervised by Cameroonian born Chef Suzanne Ekwalla
Visitors learned to cook and taste authentic Cameroon dishes hands-on. They were served the popular dish called Ndole (a vegetable dish prepared with stewed ground peanuts, crayfish/shrimp, smoked fish or beef, garlic, onions, and bitter leaves (Ndole leaves)…a dish that was proudly featured at culinary and cultural events at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. This will be served with fried ripe plantains and Miondo (a derived product from fermented cassava).
Participants also had the opportunity to eat Cameroon’s delicious juicy grilled sole fish and captain fish served with fried plantains. An experience described as one of a kind.
