African Ambassadorial Troika (Including Cameroon) Strengthens Partnership Ties in The Hague
The Hague, 24 August 2026 — At the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Tom Berendsen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a Troika of African Ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom was received at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs for high-level discussions aimed at deepening cooperation and partnership.
The delegation comprised three distinguished envoys: His Excellency Madonsela Vusimuzi Philemon, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa; His Excellency Liguemoh Ondoua Madeleine, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon; and His Excellency Mohamed Basri, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco. Together, they represented the African Group in this important diplomatic engagement.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on a wide range of matters of common interest, exploring avenues to reinforce the partnership between the African Group and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Discussions were marked by mutual respect, constructive dialogue, and shared commitment to advancing shared goals and addressing shared challenges.
Both parties expressed great satisfaction with the quality and openness of the dialogue, describing the exchanges as productive and forward-looking. They reaffirmed their shared resolve to strengthen existing ties and agreed to maintain and further develop regular exchanges to advance their shared priorities in the months ahead.
This meeting underscores the Republic of Cameroon’s continued commitment to fostering solidarity and coordinated action within the African Group, while also working to build balanced, mutually beneficial partnerships with European nations such as the Netherlands. Through Ambassador Liguemoh Ondoua Madeleine’s participation, Cameroon continues to play an active and constructive role in advancing Africa’s collective voice and interests on the international stage.
