New Ambassador Appointed to the Netherlands (H.E Mrs. LIGUEMOH ONDOUA Madeleine)
THE HAGUE, Netherlands— 12 September 2020
H.E. Mrs. LIGUEMOH ONDOUA Madeleine has been appointed as the new Cameroonian Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Mrs. LIGUEMOH O. Madeleine was appointed by a presidential decree of 11th Sept 2020 which read as follows:
Decree No. 87/1198 of September 7, 1987, organizing the Permanent External Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
Decree No. 2011/408 of December 9, 2011 on the organization of the Government, amended and supplemented by Decree No. 2018/190 of March 2, 2018;
Decree No. 2013/112 of April 22, 2013 on the organization of the Ministry of Foreign Relations,
DECREED:
Article 1. Madame LIGUEMOH ONDOUA Madeleine is, as of the date of signature of this decree, appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cameroon to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Article 2.- The interested party will be entitled to benefits of any kind provided for by the regulations in force.
Article 3.- This decree will be registered, published according to the emergency procedure, then inserted in the Official Journal in French and English.
Ambassador Mrs. LIGUEMOH becomes the second ever female Ambassador appointed as the Head of Mission to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The First was H.E Mrs. Odette Melono who is currently the Deputy Director of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in the Hague.
The new Ambassador therefore takes over from former Ambassador H.E Mrs. Odette Melono.
